Rainy Day Indoor Scavenger Hunt: A Simple Plan

A rainy day can become an indoor adventure with a few familiar objects and a little preparation. Choose a clear play area and decide where the final surprise will be. Select safe places such as a bookshelf, toy basket and cushion. Write one clue for each destination, give players the first card and hide the next card at its answer. The final clue leads to the treasure. For younger children, read clues aloud and offer a picture hint. Older players can solve a letter code or take on a small teamwork mission. Keep the route away from appliances, stairs and objects that require climbing. Test every clue before play, supervise the activity and collect the cards afterwards.
