Christmas Treasure Hunt Ideas for Families

Make a festive morning feel like a story with a trail of clues around the home. Choose an easy starting point and decide where the final surprise will be placed before setting up. A card might lead to a bookshelf of winter stories, a basket of mittens or a family table. Each card describes the next place, and the final one can reveal a small gift, a note or an invitation to a family activity. Keep clues away from lights, candles, hot drinks and fragile decorations. For children of different ages, take turns reading and searching so each explorer can participate. Use the parent guide to check the order before everyone starts, and keep a few hints ready.
