How to Plan a Detective Mystery Party for Kids
Give your young detectives a friendly mystery, such as a missing party invitation or a vanished treasure map. Explain the goal and choose clues that encourage observation and teamwork.
Prepare a short sequence of hiding places. Each clue should lead to a real place in the party area, where the next card is waiting. A final clue can reveal a surprise box or a message from the host.
Give each guest a role: reader, clue carrier, observer or hint helper. Rotate roles so everyone joins in, and make the challenge suitable for the youngest player.
An adult should test the route, keep the answer guide private and supervise the search. Avoid locked rooms and inaccessible hiding places.
