Safe Treasure Hunt Hiding Places at Home

Start with places children already know: beside a bookshelf, near a toy basket, by a coat hook or under a cushion. Choose each spot for your own home and your players’ abilities. Keep every card within easy reach. Avoid appliances, cleaning products, high shelves, stairs, windows and places that require moving heavy furniture. Do not hide a clue where a child would need to climb or open a locked space. Write a clue that points clearly to each spot. Then hide the next card at the answer and note the route on a private guide. Test the trail yourself before inviting the children to play. Supervision matters even with a planned route; your home and players may need extra precautions.
