How to Give Hints During a Kids’ Treasure Hunt
A good hint helps children move forward while leaving them the satisfaction of solving the clue. Prepare one or two hints for each stop before the game begins.
Start broad: mention the room or the object’s purpose. If the team is still stuck, offer a more specific hint, such as the object’s color or what it is used for. For a younger player, point toward the area or read the clue together.
Let children ask for help without losing points or feeling rushed. When several children are playing, invite different team members to suggest ideas.
Keep the answer guide with the grown-up, not with the clue cards. Check the route in advance and supervise every stop.
